As a Senior Designer, you'll should have a passion for pixel-perfect design and quality. You're designated as “Senior” because of your authority in design decision-making and your ability to lead small-to-midsize project initiatives. You'll solve design problems, craft new solutions, and create engaging experiences across a diverse range of projects. A self-starter and inventive by nature, you have a hunger to learn and innovate. You know how to collaborate with team members, support others, and inspire the creative people around you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interpret creative briefs alongside creative and account teams.
- Understand client goals and requirements, technical constraints, and work within project parameters.
- Develop original design concepts and unexpected creative solutions.
- Present objectives, design approaches, and creative solutions to clients and internal teams in an articulate and persuasive manner.
- Support and enhance existing creative concepts.
- Execute designs based on established style guides.
- Develop detailed design guidelines/specs, and oversee designers and production designers to ensure a high-quality standard of work and final delivery on small to large projects.
- Support and participate in design presentations with clients.
- Experiment with new tools and techniques and share what you learn.
- Engage and take initiative in all aspects of the project.
- Mentor and inspire designers.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 3–5 years of agency experience designing rich, interactive brand, campaign, and ecommerce experiences. Print/Print production experience is a plus.
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, New Media, or related field.
- A portfolio that represents a wide range of design styles, diverse projects, and a clear personal aesthetic.
- Intimate knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Experience with HTML, After Effects and Final Cut is a plus.
- Solid design, conceptual thinking, and typography skills.
- Strong understanding of interaction design, site architecture, and designing intuitive user interfaces and navigation.
- An understanding of the possibilities and limitations of web technologies. Knowledge of mobile platforms and technologies is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, which you'll use to articulate creative concepts to the internal team and clients.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- The ability to rapidly prototype creative concepts is a plus.
- Reliability is a must.
