Our client, an Enterprise tech company in the SF Bay Area, is looking for an AEM front-end Developer to join their team.
This is a remote 6-month to 12-month contract.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new user-facing features for our Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service (AEM) instance.
- Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring application usability.
- Implement responsive design to ensure the website is functional on all devices.
- Bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks and works.
- Adhere to Anaplan design principles and branding.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders, including back-end developers and user experience designers.
- Maintain and improve our website, troubleshoot interface software, and debug application codes.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for the front-end codebase and AEM integration.
- Contribute to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to user interface, software architecture, and new technologies.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficient with Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service.
- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
- Good understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, i.e., SASS.
- Strong knowledge of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
- Knowledge of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks like ReactJS, VueJS, and others.
- Proficient understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that applications adhere to them.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment and independently.
- Knowledge of Coveo and other search-as-a-service tools.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in front-end development.
- Ability to adapt to new tools and a constantly changing tech stack.
This role is well-suited for someone with a blend of technical web development skills and an understanding of Adobe's platforms, specifically AEM, aiming to deliver high-quality web experiences that are scalable and optimized for performance.
