Position Summary

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living

At Love and Care, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive assistance to our clients, which is why we consider roles that offer support in essential tasks such as personal hygiene, dressing, feeding, and personal grooming, always ensuring dignified and respectful treatment. Additionally, responsibilities include performing the necessary household chores for the well-being of the home, such as light cleaning, laundry, shopping, and meal preparation. Depending on the specific needs of each patient, you may also facilitate transportation to medical appointments and social events, reaffirming our commitment to personalized care and promoting our clients' independence and quality of life.

• Monitor the physical and mental well-being of clients

• Providing not only physical care but also companionship and social interaction to elderly, disabled, or chronically ill patients who may feel isolated.
• Observe and record any changes in cognitive function, reporting to family members or healthcare providers as necessary.
• Implement memory care strategies for those with dementia and alert relevant parties to behavioral changes to ensure timely and appropriate care.
• Document and communicate any changes in client behavior to ensure the timely and appropriate implementation of treatment based on identified needs.
• Duties also include assisting with: ambulation, exercise, medication reminders, toileting, incontinence care, skin care, dressing changes, conducting home safety evaluations with recommendations, and monitoring weight

• Other responsibilities

• It is imperative to accurately and concisely document the services provided, as well as to monitor and record any changes in our clients' health conditions, reporting immediately any incident or accident. This procedure is fundamental in maintaining the highest quality and safety in the care we provide.
• Respond promptly and with a full sense of responsibility in emergency situation.
• Proactively communicate any atypical events observed, ensuring an appropriate and timely response
• Other responsibilities as required and as defined by the California Code of Regulations, title 22, Division 5, Chapter 2.5, Article 3, 71835 through 72841.
• In the context of the Love and Care Nurse Assisted role, it's crucial to understand that, depending on the professional's experience, they may be assigned the task of supervising colleagues, including Health Care Assistants (HCA) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA).
