Position Summary

Establish and coordinate the logistics of transport and customs of direct and indirect materials, import and export, through land, air, sea and rail means, in the agreed times, complying with internal policies and national and international government regulations, in order to guarantee the arrival of materials for production and deliveries to customers.

Position Responsibilities:

·        Coordinate, document and follow up on the import and export operations of materials through the different customs.

·        Manage and control material inventories in Laredo, TX and other warehouses. 

·        Design and/or improve logistics and customs operations.

·        Generate programs for transport, export and import. (sea, ground, rail, air, parcels etc).

·        Generate Railroad Status and Delivery Tracking.

·        Generate and manage material movements, via parcels.

·        Manage and track the pickups of materials worldwide in Europe, Asia, USA,

Canada and National, by the different methods of transport.

·        Search and quote material transportation options for new projects (prototypes, production lines, samples, one-time purchases, etc.)

·        Continuous improvement, focus on cost savings proposals.

·        Invoicing validation from logistics suppliers, 3rd parties. 

Position Requirements:

·        Bachelor's degree in International Business, Foreign Trade and/or Transportation Engineering. 

·        Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position, preferably in the automotive industry.

·        Good communication and negotiation skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

·        Proficiency in English (advanced). Knowledge in Foreign Trade Rules and Customs Legislation.

·        Knowledge in Import and Export operations.

·        Knowledge in the Supply Chain. Dealing with Customs Brokers and Agencies, Transport Providers and Forwarders.
