Job Description:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Big Data Engineer to join our Media Data Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of our big data infrastructure and processing pipelines. You will work with cutting-edge technologies and tools to enable efficient data processing and analysis. If you are passionate about big data and have experience with Spark, Airflow, SQL, Scala, Python and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop and maintain data pipelines for efficient data processing.

Use Spark, Airflow and SQL to transform and analyze large data sets.

Write high quality, maintainable code in Scala and Python.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.

Optimize and troubleshoot performance and reliability of data pipelines.

Monitor and ensure data quality and consistency.

Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in big data and cloud computing.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

Demonstrated experience in big data engineering with a focus on Spark, Airflow, and SQL.

Proficiency in Scala and Python programming languages.

Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.

Excellent communication and problem solving skills.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Self-motivated with a passion for keeping up with emerging technologies.
