Responsible for manufacturing of products in planned quantities, at budgeted cost, safety and of desired quality. Liaisons with functional or operational area managers (e.g. in supply and logistics, or sales) to understand current and future product needs and develops plans, cost estimates, and schedules for integrating these needs into existing manufacturing activities. Provides supervision and guidance to Production Superintendents and/or Supervisors. Leads activities and projects to support continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction.

Major Responsibilities:

·   Coordinate and direct CNC work team to streamline processes.

·   Participate in and promote Kaizen events and encourage process improvement using Lean principles.

·   Manage CNC employee performance through the evaluation of expectations and objectives, including safe working practices, quality of work, compliance to procedures, and productivity.

·   Works closely with engineering to develop/modify processes to optimize machining productivity/performance.

·   Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel.

·   Ensure the proper functioning of the production lines.

·   Responsible for optimizing the productive resources of the company to obtain a progressive growth in productivity while respecting quality specifications.

·   Minimize waste and achieve company goals.

·   Enforce health and safety.

·   Report to upper management: Budget Control, HC Administration

·   Monitoring compliance with KPIs

·   Wide commitment to industrial safety.

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

·        Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience. 5+ years of machine shop experience operating CNC equipment (multi-axis mills, multi-axis lathes (Engineering, Manufacturing, Production).

·        Experience with manual machining, CNC machining, and/or CNC Programming is a must.

·        5+ years of experience with GD&T

·        Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, contribute to technical teams, and establish effective working relationships with others is required.

·        Deep knowledge of production management

·        Advanced knowledge of production processes, machinery, assembly lines and production standards.

·        Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

·        Strong communication skills
