Position Summary:

• Manage the day to day operations of a Software Development Team
• Mentoring and training for Software development teams.
• Ensures quality of development by closely monitoring programming standards are being adhered to by staff.
• Researches and designs solutions to issues reported by the business.

Job Responsibilities:

• Development Duties as required; ensures production systems are adequately monitored for performance issues, scheduling and recovery.
• Ensures quality of development by closely monitoring programming standards are being adhered to by staff - including coding standards, change process and documentation.
• Research, define and design solutions to IT Issues reported by the business; provide formal Design documentation where necessary; make recommendations for application re-writes where appropriate & infrastructure changes or improvements when necessary
• Meet with Users to discuss problems and negotiate prioritization of problems based on financial impact to the business and alignment with strategic direction

Skills and Requirements:

• Level of formal education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent
• Area of study: Computer Science
• Years of experience: Five to seven years.
• Type of experience: Project management, personnel management, data engineering, software development
• Special certifications or technical skills: Java, Proficient with Relational Database Technologies and SQL , Version Control.
• Technical Skills: Agile development, C#, HTTP Protocol, HTML, CSS; JavaScript, MySQL, Version
• Control, Virtual Environment
• Other/preferred: Cloud Services, ETL Technologies.
• Able to fluently communicate verbally in English and Spanish
