Production Intern (Lean Challenge - Summer Program)

Gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement and gain knowledge by performing tasks aimed at supporting ABB operations and enhancing staff education/employment opportunities. The development of a Productivity improvement project will be carried out to participate in the Lean Challenge 2024. Lean Challenge is a local and international competition where university students develop Continuous Improvement Projects based on methodology and principles of Quality Wins and Lean Manufacturing.
Your responsibilities
- Collect data in the warehouse and production floor.
- Carry out the analysis of the information obtained.
- Propose improvement actions.
- Carry out the implementation of Production actions.
Your background
- Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical or Electronic Engineering student, starting in the 6th semester.
- Intermediate Excel level.
- Theoretical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Intermediate - advanced English level for weekly progress presentations to North American and Local Managers.
- Desirable: use of statistical software such as Minitab.
