Madison Industries is looking for a:  PLANNER/BUYER SR.

Position Summary:

Execute material planning for purchased components in alignment with the production plan requirements. Utilize SAP MRP to effectively communication schedules and purchase orders to suppliers, follow-up with suppliers daily, manage inventory levels to ensure consistent flow of materials, and provide daily updates to the production and demand planning to Materials Manager.

Functions:

• Execute material planning to procure direct or raw materials & components.
•  Accountable for inventory levels of set of suppliers/components
• Utilize SAP MRP to ensure timely and accurate communication of supplier schedules and/or discrete purchase order releases.
• Manage the ramp up/ramp down of new products to ensure consistency of delivery and minimization of obsolete inventories.
• Monitoring PFEP in monthly base to ensure appropriate management of Kanban Boards & MRP planning parameters.
• Minimize all inbound premium freight.
• Root cause analysis on all supplier interruptions & develop robust improvement plans to ensure consistency of material flow.
• Work with other departments and functions to resolve materials issues.
• Expedite materials and/or any other supply issue according to business needs.
• Participate and provide support in continuous improvement projects and NPI projects.
• Maintain good relationships with supplier base to ensure two-way communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations/Production Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• APICS CPIM certification desirable
• At least 5 years of Experience in a similar position
• Wide knowledge of SAP MRP system, Materials Planning & Inventory Management
• Kanban implementations
• Excell advanced
• Bilingual English/Spanish
