Inside Sales Engineer / Ingeniero de Ventas


The Inside Sales Engineer role presents an exciting opportunity to promote and sell maxon products in Mexico and the rest of Latin America (LATAM). As an Inside Sales Engineer, your responsibilities will include daily management of smaller customer accounts, as well as following up on sales leads through direct customer interactions and proactive prospecting. Your goal will be to drive overall business growth by leveraging maxon's engineered components and systems.


Essential Functions


  • Maintain existing accounts by directly engaging with engineers and purchasing teams
  • Address specialized technical inquiries related to our products and customer needs, including e-shop inquiries
  • Provide high-level engineering assistance to both existing and potential customers
  • Seek out and develop new sales opportunities for our complete product line; conduct research using online resources, attend trade shows, and leverage trade magazines and other publications
  • Efficiently follow up on sales leads using the Direct Sales Leads (DSL) provided by our Marketing department
  • Attend regular trainings to enhance your understanding and sales strategies for maxon products.
  • Collaborate closely with Inside Sales Coordinators and Sales Engineers to nurture promising opportunities
  • Utilize our CRM/IFS system to maintain accurate records and streamline communication.
  • Prepare and store quotes based on current pricing policies; manage quotes, intercompany requests, and contacts within our Contact Software (CRM)
  • Process sales orders and review customer purchase orders for accuracy and store in IFS
  • Provide backup support for other Inside Sales Engineers and Coordinators as needed.
  • Contribute to territory or market growth strategies aligned with our company goals.
  • Offer first-level support across all product families
  • Assist in logistics and support our shipping department
  • Participate in marketing initiatives, including local translation and promotion activities
  • Collaborate with our Marketing team to enhance brand visibility


Required Education and Experiences


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills and excellent interpersonal communication abilities
  • Experience: 1-3 years in a similar position.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in both English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office functionality.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 30% locally, nationally, and internationally, with overnight travel as needed.
  • Visa and Passport: Must have a valid US Visa B1/B2 and passport
