Profile:

•Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineer or related field, with 5 years of experience in a position as a Blow Molding Engineer or similar role.

•Jomar IBM machines knowledge.

•Experience using machine controls to input settings and do high level troubleshooting.

•Strong understanding of blow molding principles, processes and equipment.

•Technical experience in injection molding of thermoplastics related to Design for Manufacturability of molds, processing of thermoplastics, robotics, automation and hot runner systems

•Familiarity with statistical problem-solving techniques

•English Knowledge

•Resin knowledge (PP, PE, PS, etc.)

Responsibilities:

•Ensure Blow Molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and connected systems are set to parameters and meet quality standards and all production goals.

•Perform Operational and Performance qualifications.

•Set up and start up molding machines according to established process parameters, shut down when needed.

•Process development for new molds, establishing robust, repeatable and reproducible process parameters.

•Monitor and troubleshoot processing problems and document process changes.

•Manage machine process efficiency initiatives, scrap minimization, materials conservation.

•Troubleshoot and properly countermeasure any problems with the blow mold machines.

•Understand the importance of reducing material scrap to protect our environment and save costs.

•Identify and request mold repair as needed.

•Coaching the process technicians on mold settings.

•Managing process technicians on daily performance by monitoring tasks performed.

•Examines parts for defects.

•Observes and tests the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other tools.

•Lead role for new product launches and bottle qualifications.

•Develop a proficient operation by advising Plant Operators, Maintenance and Set Up Tech on machine adjustments, preventive/corrective maintenance, improvements in design and/or modifications needed to molds or tooling.
