The role of an Accounts Receivable Analyst within a logistics company involves managing and overseeing the accounts receivable process to ensure accurate and timely collection of payments from customers. The primary responsibility is to maintain and reconcile accounts, monitor outstanding balances, and coordinate closely with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate efficient payment processes.


Responsibilities:


1. Invoicing and Billing: Generate and issue accurate invoices to customers, ensuring that billing is in line with agreed-upon terms and services provided.


2. Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and address any discrepancies or overdue payments promptly.


3. Collection Management: Implement and manage the collection process, tracking and following up on outstanding balances, resolving issues, and communicating effectively with customers to facilitate prompt payment.


4. Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze financial reports related to accounts receivable, including aging reports, cash flow projections, and credit risk assessments.


5. Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments, such as sales, operations, and finance, to streamline processes and address any issues that might impact receivables.


6. Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the accounts receivable process, suggest and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce outstanding balances, and minimize credit risk.


7. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with accounting policies, legal requirements, and industry standards. Maintain accurate documentation and records related to accounts receivable.


Requirements:


- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Proven experience in accounts receivable, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry.

- Familiarity with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate reports.

- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and internal teams.

- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
