Procures supplies, materials, services, tooling, and equipment for delivery at specified time or location.
Places and updates purchase orders for NPI launches, manage delivery of products and ensures timely delivery to eliminate potential for backorders and stockouts.
Work with the PMO team to update schedule on deliveries to ensure launch timelines can be achieved.
Work with the Sourcing specialist on capacity planning and equipment requirements.
Manage any subcontracting process.
Plans, schedules, and monitors the movement of materials through the fulfillment cycle.
Advises team of any actual or potential material shortages. Work with Sourcing and Engineering to resolve any potential issue that may impact launch dates
Ensures suppliers have complete product information to meet product quality standards and deliveries for production and assist with the PPAP process.
Monitors performance of buyer KPIs and develops/executes improvement actions.
Tracks individual complete and on-time delivery (COT) performance, assigns reason codes for order fulfillment failures, and drives actions to improve future performance for assigned commodities.
Tracks and resolves material review board (MRB) parts and resolves supplier non-conformances and cost recovery.
Qualifications
Experience internationally supplies chain management, or equivalent education.
Minimum 3+ year of procurement experience in Buying/Sourcing
Working knowledge of international trade.
BA/BS degree in Business Administration or Engineering or equivalent experience.
Proficient in Excel.
Experience working with ERP systems or equivalent knowledge.
Knowledge of material requirement planning, inventory control techniques, forecasting, production planning, RFQ, RFP and RFI process.
