Position Objective

Ensuring efficient and uninterrupted supply chain management, guaranteeing timely availability of materials required for production, minimizing lead times, and optimizing inventory levels. Additionally, overseeing and improving storage and distribution processes, implementing effective inventory management practices, and ensuring proper organization and tracking of both direct and indirect products.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the team in the areas of materials planning, traffic, logistics, inventory, warehouses, and production scheduling, being responsible for providing the necessary resources to achieve planned results.
• Manage the fulfillment of raw material procurement on time and in planned quantity according to MRP (Material Requirements Planning).
• Ensure timely supply of both direct and indirect materials to prevent production delays.
• Establish strong relationships with reliable suppliers, monitor delivery deadlines, and establish clear service level agreements.
• Lead the Purchasing team on Direct Materials cost-saving projects to achieve the established Material Margin objective.
• Efficient production scheduling to maximize plant efficiency.
• Analyze product demand, consider material delivery times, and coordinate with the Production department to establish a balanced production plan.
• Utilize scheduling tools and techniques such as MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to optimize scheduling and minimize lead times and associated costs.
• To avoid excess inventory and shortage of direct materials, it is essential to implement a robust inventory control system.
• Establish optimal inventory levels, regularly monitor stock levels, implement inventory management techniques, and use the SAP system to maintain accurate records of material movements.
• Establish a process for periodic review and adjustment of inventory levels based on changes in demand and supplier lead times.

Essential to have:

English Level: Fluent C1-C2 (able to maintain business conversations)

3-5 years in the Automotive Industry

SAP System (SAP MM, SAP PP, SAP WM, SAP IM)

Schooling/Location:

Education: Industrial Engineer, Bachelor's Degree in International Trade, Business Administration, or related field (CVs from other disciplines will be considered based on the experience, knowledge, and skills described in this profile).

Job Location: Querétaro

Knowledge:

Supply Chain Management: This includes knowledge of material flows, coordination with suppliers and customers, demand planning, and inventory management.

Production Planning and Scheduling.

Inventory Management: This includes the use of tools and techniques such as reorder point calculation, stock control, and ABC inventory management.
