The Role

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master that will be part of the Solera Global Project Management Office (Agile Chapter) to coach and guide Solera Software and IT scrum teams in Agile best practice and methodologies. The team that this individual will join supports multiple implementations of Agile methodologies across a wide set of Product Development Teams. In this role, the Scrum Master will be responsible for ensuring development teams follow scrum framework values and Agile practices, mentoring and motivating the teams to improve processes, and eliminating team impediments. In addition, the Scrum Master will provide training sessions on software development tool usage related to Agile development and the implementation of the Solera Agile Methodologies. The Scrum Master will also be responsible for generating, maintaining, and reporting on sprint work within the development teams providing clear communication and data representation to the leadership team and stakeholders. An ideal candidate will have experience in an Agile development environment providing servant leadership, Agile knowledge & guidance, peer training, and report creation & communication. The ideal candidate will also be certified in at least one focus of Agile methodologies with multiple certifications preferred and will be prepared to train others in different Agile Roles and Responsibilities. These job requirements necessitate an individual with several years of successful hands-on agile experience. They will be the go-to Agile expert for the development teams and provide direction, advisement, support, and be responsible for the leadership of Agile ceremonies. The Scrum Masers overall mission is to provide clear Agile leadership in a way that consistently demonstrates knowledge of their team's body of work, sprints, backlog, and the Solera Agile Methodology. They will provide their development teams with clear expectations and communicate success, blockers, issues, and progress to leadership.


What You'll Do


Act as an owner for our Agile processes and lead sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives

Drive standard processes, tool usage, and best practices for consistency and reliability of product delivery and reporting in line with Solera Agile methodology

Serve the Solera development and IT departments as a Coach, Facilitator and Servant Leader for assigned agile scrum team(s)

Determine and manage tasks, risks, action items, and blockers

Plan, Schedule, and facilitate scrum events, meetings, and ceremonies

Partner with development teams to create and maintain agile artifacts and reports with a focus on clarity and accuracy

Collaborate with other PMO (Project Management Office) teams to formulate progress plans, inform new processes, reengineer existing processes, and identify areas of overlap to support Solera global initiatives

Clearly communicate tracking on project processes, deliverables, and financials

Serve as an Agile expert to development and IT teams, coaching and guiding Agile practice and supporting the Solera Agile Methodology

Facilitate trainings on Agile best practice, tool use, reporting, and other areas of influence within the Agile framework

Prepare and present status reports to stakeholders and maintain the data health of the Agile development teams

Be able to speak in a thorough, substantive, and accurate manner about the progress of the teams' sprints and backlog and serve as an effective point of communication of status, as well as escalation of issues to leadership outside the group as needed

Act as a first point of contact and escalation manager for stakeholders regarding any projects within the team responsibility group


What You'll Bring


CSM, PSM, CSP, SSM or other applicable Agile Methodology Certification. Additional certification in other Agile roles is a plus

Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in a related field of study preferred

5+ years experience in an agile development environment

3+ years experience as a Scrum Master or similar role

3+ years of industry-standard tool usage related to agile development and project management

3+ years experience in either servant leadership or direct leadership positions

Working knowledge of Agile Methodology, techniques, and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile

Strong communication and presentation skills

An analytical and problem-solving mindset

Lead training sessions and provide detailed examples and explanations for Agile process and implementation
