Customer Quality Engineer - Automotive Industry

The Customer Quality Engineer in the automotive industry is a pivotal role that ensures the highest standards of quality for products delivered to customers. This professional serves as a bridge between the company and automotive clients, managing and enhancing customer satisfaction through effective quality assurance measures.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee robust quality assurance processes to meet automotive industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough product and process audits to ensure compliance with quality requirements

Customer Interaction:

  • Act as the primary contact for automotive customers on quality-related matters.
  • Collaborate closely with customers to understand their quality expectations and address any concerns or issues promptly.

Problem Resolution:

  • Investigate and analyze quality issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of customer complaints and non-conformities.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in product quality and manufacturing processes.
  • Implement measures to enhance overall quality performance and customer satisfaction.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed records of quality issues, investigations, and resolutions.
  • Prepare regular reports on quality metrics for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in a quality engineering role within the automotive industry.
  • Thorough understanding of automotive quality standards (ISO/TS 16949).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in quality management or Six Sigma.
  • Familiarity with automotive production processes and methodologies.
  • Experience with advanced quality planning tools and methodologies.
