MOLDING ENGINEER

Required Qualifications:

·        BS in engineering, Industrial or mechanical engineering is preferred.

·        Bilingual

·         Two (2) years' experience in engineering field related to medical device manufacturing is preferred.

·        Five (5) years' experience in engineering, in manufacturing facilities specialized in plastic injection molding area and Molding Process Development

·        Provide manufacturing engineering support to assure equipment and processes work efficiently.

·        Coordinate new products start up and existing processes re-validation.

·        Participate in the selection and evaluation of equipment designed to automate different aspects of the manufacturing areas.

·        Participate in selection of new equipment/tooling, which may include research and identification of equipment specifications, prepare and present cost justification, selection of direct and indirect material, as well as create and revise required documentation.

Specialized Skills:

·        Coordinate the installation of new equipment which included preparing an scaled layout of the manufacturing room, stablishing utilities requirements and equipment installation qualification and start up.

·        Create required documentation for new products and Process Validation.

·        Initiate engineering change request to approve, and revise Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Forms and Templates, Tools and Product Drawings for manufacturing operations.

·        Initiate improvement projects for productivity and cost reduction.

·        Assist manufacturing manager in determining equipment and tools requirements.

·        Troubleshoot problems, and coordinate improvements to existing products, manufacturing processes and equipment. Advice maintenance and manufacturing personnel performing troubleshooting tasks.

·        Provide Technical Inputs and Feedback for Tooling Design and Construction
