Americas PMO Manager


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Responsible for overseeing all activities related to the commercialization of new products for the Americas, including key markets. Coordinates activities with various departments to effectively transition new products and processes.
  • Manages a team dedicated to product design and engineering in the context of new product launches. Suggests improvements and metrics when necessary.
  • Coordinates and leads the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process to maximize success in developing and tracking products or processes throughout their lifecycle.
  • Identifies and ensures adequate and appropriate resources are assigned to all programs and projects to achieve company goals and meet customer needs.
  • Leads strategic projects for the business unit, including advanced manufacturing projects and product transfers.
  • Manages all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned and directly supports the achievement of business strategic initiatives.
  • Delivers progress reports and communications for executive-level leaders.
  • Establishes key metrics to monitor the goals of new product launches.
  • Facilitates the resolution of deficiencies and problems with newly launched products.
  • Tracks and monitors project and program costs to ensure financial investment and project payback are aligned with goals.


EDUCATION:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a similar discipline. MBA preferred but not required.


EXPERIENCE:


  • Broad operational experience and exposure in roles related to manufacturing, engineering, product management, project management, finance, sales and marketing, or R&D.
  • Experience in managing technical personnel and complex projects or programs.
  • Mastery and understanding of the APQP process.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels, departments, and operations of the company.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Self-directed with a passion for results and personal achievement.
  • CAD experience preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel globally.
  • Proficiency in a second language is a plus.
