Accounting Analyst – Summary

As an Accounting Analyst I, you play a crucial role, you will be part of a team within the Finance organization which ensures key financial measures and metrics used across the organization for reporting and analytics are accurate and complete. This is an excellent opportunity to support the broader organization while further developing your skills.

Responsibilities

·      Analyze and prepare documentation to support financial reconciliations by book of business.

·      Prepare journal entries, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the ledger.

·      Identify, analyze, research, and resolve system anomalies.

·      Collaborate with IT and Business to resolve reconciliation variances.

·      Validate accounting impact from system changes.

·      Support the business units, auditors, state regulators and actuarial as assigned.

·      Innovate and drive process improvement.

·      Work in a strong team environment with a focus on collaboration, diversity in thought and inclusion.

·      Articulate results effectively to management

Requirements:

·      Bilingual English-Spanish

·      Insurance Accounting Experience

·      Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with an emphasis in accounting

·      Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills

·      Self-starter and quick learner

·      Team player and effective collaborator

·      Meticulous with an unrelenting attention to detail

·      Exceptional analytical skills and inquisitive mind

·      Flexible and adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment.

·      Effective communication skills

·      Strong organizational skill
