Contribute to the design, implementation and improvement of: - Transportation, warehousing and external logistic service activities - Custom and duties process - Upstream and downstream transportation timetables Contribute to the transportation and external logistic service activities budget and cost reduction plan and follow-up. - Troubleshoot problems and implement counter-measures and solutions to maintain the continuity of the production flows. Contribute to the design, implementation and improvement of the external flows : - Analyze flows of materials, inventory and scheduling processes to accelerate the physical flows. - Propose, evaluate, direct the design, development, and/or improvement of tools, equipment, and/or transportation/storage processes for an assigned area. - Implement, control and manage the visual reorder system and or pull flow system. - Provide technical support for specific plant operations (Layout, new project, value stream analysis...). - Design transportation processes within timeframe and budget parameters. - Support activities to achieve and maintain the Quality Standards and the safety standards. - Actively participate in and support the implementation of the Valeo Production System (VPS). Contribute the budget and costs reduction plan and follow up of the external flows activities : - Participate in negotiation with carriers companies in co-ordination with Purchasing - Propose logistics protocols with suppliers in co-operation with Supply Chain schedulers and Purchasing. - Meet the Carriers contacts on a regular basis (once a quarter at least). - Provide data for transportation indicators and analysis for follow up costs and budget building. - Measure the costs of transportation for each inbound and outbound flow. Propose action plans to reduce the costs.
