Job Summary:

The Buyer - Indirect Materials and Services will be responsible for the support of the global strategic sourcing strategies for the following categories: Plant and Facility Industrial Products, Services, Material Handling Equipment, MRO and other materials/services to support Belden#s business in the Americas. This position requires an exceptional ability to develop relationships across the organization as well as with key suppliers to the company and to communicate effectively with leaders at all levels and global counterparts. This position will be located at our Nogales Mexico facility.

Responsibilities:

You will make an impact in the following ways:

- Working with the plant operation team to identify and execute cost savings initiatives

- Support global commodity strategies to deliver: Targeted reductions in year-over-year cost, support global CAPEX strategy, supplier onboarding. Support the identification and associated mitigation plans for pricing inflation and high-risk factors that may impact total cost or assurance of supply.

- Assist in the following: developing successful supplier relationships for assigned commodities, creating and negotiating supplier contracts or pricing agreements, managing all facets of supplier management activities for assigned commodities, and completing regular supplier performance assessments##Contribute to the savings and performance targets of the Global Indirect Procurement team.

- Responsible for leading supplier annual business reviews and development activities related to suppliers in areas of responsibility

- Participates and/or leads cross-functional teams, actively shares knowledge with others, and exhibits leadership to encourage adoption of procurement practices

- Communicates regional requirements, strategies and goal achievement to regional and global leadership

- Support maintenance and training of the global procurement solution (BPRO)

- Responsible for the creation and processing of purchase requisitions

- Ability to travel 10% of the time

Required Skills and Experience

What you will bring:

- Education: BS/BA degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, business or related fields.

- Experience: Two years of relevant experience in Category Management within the manufacturing industry.

- Desired Abilities and Skills: Commitment to teamwork, able to work independently, strong knowledge or Microsoft Office Products, exceptional ability to work with others and able to manage and schedule multiple priorities.
