HOMEROOM TEACHER - ELEMENTARY

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree related to Education.

Experience in teaching

Native or high fluent english.

General summary:

To carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the school's policies under the direction of the Coordinator. It is required to be a reflective practitioner who uses inquiry based strategies to create positive learning environments, which motivate and challenge all learners in their class to become self-regulated, life-long learners and leaders.

General responsibilities:

-Carry out the annual, monthly and weekly planning of the academic areas, including the homeroom responsibilities (meetings, school events and students follow-up).

-Plan and develop the subject in matter. Objectives and activities will be hand in electronically, as well as IB planners, learning experiences and managing google classroom with formative and summative assessments.

-Attend to every meeting (co-workers, coordination, parents and therapists).

-Follow the institutional program of the school and finish it successfully.

-Dedicate, daily time to research work and/or work by centers, both linked to the constructivist philosophy.
