First Brands Group is hiring for a BOM Specialist for our Autolite Spark Plugs division for our office in Baja California Mexicali.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work to create and maintain product BOMS following a standardized and controlled work process using the Autolite PDM system.
• Work with Product Engineers to create and define individual components, manufacturing sub-levels, and finished goods within Autolite PDM system.
• Work with manufacturing plants to diagnose and implement engineering change requests.
• Diagnose and address any discrepancies in existing BOM structure or components.
• Understand and ensure compliance with “Customer Specific Requirements” within manufacturing process.
• Meet the Quality and Environmental Policy, identify the goals of the organization, for compliance.
• Meet the procedure of chemicals handling chemicals and waste used and generated during operations.
• Other activities that process requirements and / or the company can be included.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in industrial, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
• English conversational
• Experience with Oracle ERP is a plus.
• Configuration Management experience creating, reading, and maintaining product BOMS within an Engineering PDM system following a set of standardized rules and bill of material structures.
• Experience using excel based data load forms.
• Knowledge of multi-level product BOMS with smart numbering logic is a plus
• Knowledge and experience working within a Product Team is a plus.
