Custom engineered control, motor, and drive system solutions for elevator and other key markets. Design, manufacturing and sales of various motors, gear motors and gearing are looking for a Materials Manager



The ideal candidate will be responsible for work with his or her team to achieve their performance metrics. Your role will involve strategizing activities. Your collaborative attitude and interpersonal skills will help you thrive as a Materials Manager


Responsibilities:


  1. Development of systems, procedures and departmental policies that involve purchases, production and control of materials.
  2. Oversee production schedules, including material procurement and manufacturing schedules.
  3. Ensures that sufficient materials are available for production and ensures that incoming raw materials and outgoing shipping schedules are maintained.
  4. Develop supplier relationships to ensure a continuous supplier of origin.
  5. Devise methods and policies that ensure the most efficient and economical movement of all materials in and out of the plant.
  6. Take the necessary steps to eliminate delays and ensure compliance with production and shipping schedules.
  7. Create workflow changes as needed on an ongoing basis for the time issue prevention plan.
  8. Evaluates and anticipates trends and use of materials based on initial information for new and ongoing programs.
  9. Develops systems and programs to ensure the effectiveness of the department within the guidelines and quality formats.
  10. Oversees shipping schedules to ensure customer requirements are met using available resources/tools, developing assessments and metrics for ongoing performance.
  11. Analyzes future customer demand to identify labor, tool, and equipment needs.
  12. Coordinates physical inventories and their entry in accordance with established processes. Evaluate inventory variances, identify root cause and corrective action for inventory discrepancies.



Qualifications


1.      Master's degree in supply chain management or similar

2.      10+ years supply chain management or related experience

3.      Proficiency in Interpretation and management of work orders and shipment's expeditions

4.      Demonstrated experience with warehouse management.

5.      Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in key MS applications such as Excel, Power BI it is a plus.

6.      English fluency required
