Plastic and Metal-Mechanic Process

PURPOSE

The Operations Coordinator must provide direction and plant leadership for production staff in Sahagún. Provide execution, monitoring and improvement of the department's objectives in terms of safety, quality, performance, and equipment uptime, incorporating the principles of lean manufacturing through continuous improvement. 

EXPERIENCE:

• Accredited University degree or 5+ years of production leadership experience
• Experience in ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 quality systems will be valued.
• Injection molding and compression molding experience preferred
• Good English skills, both written and oral required Interviews will be conducted in English.
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office (Excel proficiency preferred), SAP, MES, etc.
• Great ability to solve problems and logical reasoning.

MAIN GOALS

• Promotes a safe work environment
• Develops the culture of quality within the department.
• Create, develop and improve department metrics focusing on safety, quality and operational efficiency; including making accident reports, supporting internal and external audits.
• Drive the results of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of the plant, including safety, quality, cost, delivery, absenteeism, training, compliance, on-time delivery, communications, etc.
• Participates in planning and maintaining appropriate staffing levels to effectively meet changes in demand
• Allocate resources to effectively meet daily and weekly production plans
• Coordinates with the logistics team the scheduling of materials, ensuring that the raw materials and purchased materials necessary to complete the program are available.
• Coordinates and facilitates maintenance activities to schedule and complete continuous improvement and necessary action items on equipment.
• Provides formal training and development to assigned employees
• Performs routine audits to ensure that processes and products are within parameters.
• Maintains a high level of technical knowledge and awareness in areas related to assigned responsibilities and roles.
