MAIN PURPOSE


The Global Head Sustainability will be responsible for Ensure material Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) risks and opportunities are identified, monitored, and managed across the company, in collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders at corporate and business level.


SCOPE OF THE JOB


·        This individual is responsible for identifying opportunity areas to improve ESG practices, conduct research and benchmark analysis, and work with relevant internal stakeholders at Corporate and business level to support the definition of action plans when applicable as well as contributing to defining the company´s global Sustainability strategy, policies, and goals.


Complexity of Job


·        Oversee the company´s external reporting strategy, ensuring both the company and BGs are meeting any relevant requirements or obligations. This includes the delivery of annual Sustainability/ESG report(s) aligned to key current and emerging standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD, CSRD, ISSB…)

·        Oversee annual non-financial data assurance process by independent party.

·        Oversee the company´s ESG scores and response/feedback to external assessments by raters and rankers (S&P Global, Ecovadis, MSCI, Sustainalytics, FTSE)

·        Monitor trends, emerging regulation and standards related to sustainability, assess implications to the company & communicate to relevant stakeholders, ensuring any new obligations for business are covered in the company´s disclosures (eg. EU reporting requirements)

·        Use double materiality assessment results to embed in risk processes and regulatory alignment plans. Ensure materiality assessment is kept up-to-date and line with evolving standards, responsible for reviewing relevance on a yearly basis and following up on progress on material ESG topics, risks, and opportunities.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES


Sustainable solutions strategy and impact


·        Define, develop, and evolve strategy to measure and track the social and environmental impact of the company´s product and solution portfolio in alignment with recognized methodologies and stakeholder expectations, including:

-        annual share of revenue from these solutions

-        contribution to the UN SDGs through solutions portfolio

·        Engage with relevant internal teams to share practices, embed methodology in processes and systems, increase awareness and features of sustainable solutions portfolio, and maximize external visibility to ensure businesses are benefitted by these efforts with current and potential customers.

·        Support application of related emerging regulation such as the EU Taxonomy for Sustainable Activities for all businesses in scope of the regulation, to ensure they comply with any current and future obligations related to sustainable products/solutions as well as leverage alignment as a competitive advantage for the businesses.

·        Identify opportunities and/or partners to achieve intended impacts in collaboration with relevant teams linking with innovative solutions or approaches (e.g. nature-based solutions, regenerative practices, etc.)

·        Collaborate with innovation and strategy teams to align on impact measurement and due diligence (regarding social and environmental impact) of investments, incorporating impact investing principles & approaches as possible.

·        Integrate planetary boundaries approach to measure operational impact and define future goals, shift the focus of measurement from outputs to outcomes and impact.

·        Contribute to identifying impact investing opportunities in Latin America /or other emerging markets.

·        Manage the organization of internal engagement initiatives.

·        Oversee the development of sustainability-related content for diverse channels.


Knowledge and Exerience


·        Strong knowledge and experience ence with sustainability reports aligned with GRI, SASB, TCFD.

·        A hybrid opportunity combining technical sustainability/ESG skills and project management abilities, as well as communications and culture building.

·        Demonstrated knowledge of Corporate Sustainability with an ability to provide guidance to leaders and employees.

·        A strategic thinker, with a proven ability to work independently and collaboratively to develop innovative solutions, simplify procedures, communicate, and build networks to move from ideation to activation.

·        Relationship building at all levels, including with Senior Executives and C-Suite, as well as relevant external stakeholders.

·        Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized with a proven ability to contribute in a fast-paced, changing work environment.

·        A proactive, self-starter, able to operate autonomously while being a team player who brings a positive, "can do" attitude to the workplace and works collaboratively with multi-disciplinary, cross-functional and multicultural teams and can navigate in a matrixed global organization.

·        Strong communication and presentation skills, possessing the ability to interface with audiences of all levels throughout the organization.

·        Ability to streamline budget process.

·        Data-driven mentality with a bias towards thoughtful action.

·        Strong research, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

·        Ability to provide timely turnaround on request.

·        Strong work ethic and sense of professionalism and discretion, demonstrating accountability, integrity, good judgment, and respect for confidentiality.

·        Advanced Microsoft product suite knowledge and expert in using Power Point skills.

·        Comfortable working with technology and systems.


Education

Minimum - Bachelor's degree with sustainability credentials

Desirable – Masters degree with sustainability related certifications
