?SCOPE


Ensure that all financial records and reports are prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and that such records are accurate. Prepare prompt, accurate and relevant financial information for internal and external reporting requirements of the organization. 


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develop, establish and document accounting and corporate policies and procedures for the Company.
  • Ensure financial integrity of the Company's financial records and reports. Maintain accurate financial records that are in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Develop, prepare and maintain reports that effectively summarize the Company's business activities and explain variances from expected results and the primary reasons therefore. Assist management in analyzing results of operations and work with the Plant Manager to supply requested information needed to effectively manage their operations.
  • Financial analysis and reporting to division Management monthly, quarterly, annually.
  • Manage the month and year end closing processes, including revenue recognition, cost of goods sold, expenses, accruals, reserve analysis, percentage of completion accounting, international subsidiary consolidations including currency translations, etc., for the purpose of preparing the Company's monthly financial statements. Develop methods to improve the timeliness and effectiveness of such reporting.
  • Plan, manage, execute and conduct periodic physical inventories of corporate assets to ensure balance sheet accuracy, manage the reconciliation process and publish results.
  • Responsible for internal controls. Troubleshoot existing internal control system and work across functional lines for the purpose of improving and documenting internal control structure, to ensure the safeguarding of company assets in a cost effective manner.
  • Responsible for the external audit of the Company's accounts. Work with outside auditors to ensure that they receive all necessary information and that the audit is completed in an efficient manner, with minimal financial statement adjustments.   
  • Establishes policies and procedures for the Plant following accepting US GAAP, IRS and Federal Mogul concepts and standards


EXPERIENCE:


  • At least five (5) years experience in a automotive or manufacturing environment in either controlling, costing, or managerial accounting.
  • Knowledge of ERP with MFG/PRO or SAP experience desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills (process cost accounting, financial analysis, accounts budgeting, and forecasting methods).
  • US GAAP an Mexican Accounting Standards
  • A foreign Trade related finance topic (IMMEX, VAT certification, PROSEC) is helpful.
  • Investment calculation (Capex).
  • Strong experience dealing with External and Internal Auditors
  • Risk Management and implementation of internal controls
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
