Procurement Executive 


Summary 

We are a global organization dedicated to putting information at the service of medicine. The companies and people of the P/S/L group aim to improve medical care by increasing the effectiveness of activities pertaining to scientific communication, medical education, and product/service marketing.  


Primary Objective 

The Procurement Executive role is responsible for successful project execution and exists to ensure that we are delivering profitability to the business whilst meeting and exceeding our client's expectations. The key responsibility is to ensure projects are delivered within budget, to specification, and on time. The Procurement Executive will work closely with Project Managers across the Research Hub and report into the CFO of the Market Research Domain. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Guidance, direction, and input on all proposals, including advising on sample sizes, timeline, and obtaining costings from 3rd party suppliers.
  • Once a project has been commissioned, advise the Project Management team on which 3rd party vendors are most suitable, commission the vendors to work on the sample, and ensure the project comes in on budget.


Key Skills & Attributes: 

This is a fundamental role which contributes highly to the success and growth of the business: 

  • 1-year experience in market research fielding of projects with exposure to costing/procurement 
  • Good commercial sense and the tenacity to negotiate lower rates from vendors
  • Good communication at all levels with the ability to interact with Account Directors, external suppliers, and Project Managers 
  • A team player with the ability to work alongside Account Directors and Project Managers to achieve sales targets and successful project delivery 
  • Enthusiasm to deliver first-class response rates and identify reputable and cost-effective fieldwork partners across the world 
  • “Can do” attitude 
  • Solution orientated 
  • Willingness to progress and learn 
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Key language skills an advantage (Main 5 EU languages) 
  • Advanced user of Excel
  • A high standard of numeracy
