We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting and analysis.

Duties include but not limited:

• General Accounting
• Month-end reporting
• Analysis, governance, regulatory and corporate compliance while providing timely information and support to both the communities and home office.

Job funtions:

• Work closely with the accounting/finance team and others withing the organization, to ensure open and accurate communications and excellent customer service.
• Identify and resolve issues as they arise, and determine the process and controls needed to prevent the issue from occurring again in the future.
• Assist in the preparation of the month-end, quarterly and annual reports, consolidation and other reporting as assigned.
• Work with the controller on special projects.
• Assist with the budget, forecasting and audit processes as requested.
• Continuously pursue process improvement and embraces best practices in the accounting function.
• Comply with applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures.

Requiriments

• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
• Proven working experience as accounts payable/accounts receivable or general ledger account.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulatiions.
• Proficiency in english
