As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible to support the plant to which they are assigned in the daily operations of the local network, the standard IT hardware and software connected to it. This position will serve as a local administrator and provide support to assigned plant users as required.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Support IT and user issues related to corporate manufacturing systems (level 1 support).
• Involve appropriate L2 or L3 support when necessary.
• Server disk space management and OS patching (ITOP managed servers only)
• Troubleshooting and hardware replacement.
• Support users with MS Office themes or other PC themes as a result of the escalation of the ticketing system called Stratos.
• Work with other members of the IT organization to provide solutions to user problems.
• Communicate local or system changes to N+1, N+2 or other IT personnel (always respecting the Change Control process).
• Escalate support tickets using the system called Stratos when applicable.
• Desktop/laptop configuration.
• Support and resolution of basic network problems (level 1 support).
• Execute failover / failback processes of manufacturing systems periodically.
• Ensure backups of local systems are working properly.
• Manage the local IT budget.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the plant leader and assigned Regional IT Manager.
• Maintain daily communication with plant management. Be part of daily plant meetings.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, applicable certifications or degree related to Information Technology
• 3 to 5 years of experience in the role.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and understanding when to escalate issues.
• Good knowledge/interest in plant systems (sequencing, traceability, etc.)
• Requires familiarity with Microsoft operating systems; Win10, Win11, Server 2016 and Server 2019
• Be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite 2016 products (Office 365 is a plus).
• Be familiar with the software and hardware of PCs and network servers.

Desiree skills:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population and demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
• Cisco networking experience and/or training preferred.
