Important: This position will travel outside of the state up to 60% of the time, and twice a week local trips to Escobedo N.L. and Ramos Arizpe to visit customers. Travel expenses will be paid by the company.

Summary of Position

The Field Quality Representative is responsible of establishing an effective communication between the Customer and our organization with the purpose of minimizing waste. Acting in the best interest of the organization to solve field issues and to define the scope of the offered warranties according to our policies to the extent of products and services. Has the ability to envision solutions to complex problems and to supervise its execution. Travels up to 60% to the source of the problems with the purpose to sustain a satisfactory solution.

Essential Functions

·      Interface with client to develop solutions with focus on cost reduction, improved delivery performance and functionality.

·      Understand and document Quality issues and propose solutions.

·      Active participation during APQP phases to prevent issues from previous lessons learned.

·      Provide creative and proactive participation during customer events (audits, claims, containments, presentations, etc.).

·      Consults with Manufacturing on regards of the best sorting / rework method to reduce the PPMs related to 0-km Claims.

·      Analyze Customer Satisfaction results to create strategies to mitigate effects of improvement opportunities.

·      Executes and controls evaluations (audits) and Improvement Plans of local Suppliers for the Area (MX).

·      Special projects as required.

Responsibility for Quality

·      Responsible for preventing and minimizing external COPQ for MMI.

Level of Authority

·      To stop shipment of products that don't meet quality, safety, or design intent.

·      To schedule, assign and monitor sorting/rework activities.

·      To negotiate Action Plans with the Customer.

·      To assign a score for the Supplier Management and request/follow up Action Plans.

Qualifications

·      BS Engineering or equivalent. Customer service experience.

·      Experience in Quality Control used for molded components is preferred.

·      Experience/ exposure in area of Plastic parts for the automotive industry.

·      Practice understanding of Quality Assurance principles.

·      Strong experience in the use of AIAG Core Tools.

·      Strong experience in conducting Audits (ISO 19011).

·      Strong understanding of CSR.

·      Demonstrated critical thinking skills, highly innovative, and problem-solving skills.

·      Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

·      Domestic OEM experience preferred.

·      Understandings of plastics and mold design principals.
