We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Technical Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our customers, resolving product-related issues, and ensuring a seamless user experience.


This role will be responsible for:


  • Provide technical assistance remotely or in person.
  • Provide Technical Support to NISSAN dealer network in Latin American locations.
  • Prepare and publish technical information to inform and update the region of product improvements through Technical Bulletins.
  • Use of internal Nissan platforms for consultation and registration of technical issues.
  • Provide training and guide to network for correct usage of technical support platform.
  • Technically validate warranty reports and replacement of components in vehicles.
  • Technically validate support requests for replacement of components in vehicles out of warranty (Goodwill).


Education/Certifications:

  • Mechanical Engineering or similar with a specialty in the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of operation and repair of electric cars.
  • Courses related to technical support, automotive repair and customer service will be considered.


Previous Work Experience:

  • Preferred experience: 2 years in a similar position preferred in the automotive industry.
  • Proven experience in a technical support or quality engineering role within the automotive industry.


Knowledge:

·       Ease of use and knowledge of vehicle diagnostic tools and electronic equipment. (OBD2 diagnostic tools, CONSULT III+, DRV, Midtronics electric tools, technical diagnostic, and repair tools for electric cars, etc.).


Language:

·       Fluent English (written and spoken) desirable Automotive Technical Terminology.

·       Ease of maintaining a conversation via telephone and written technical communication.


Have a valid driver´s license.


Travel: 50%

·       Availability of hours to assist technically and remotely to the markets, trips for technical assistance within the region and training.

·       Must have passport.

·       VISA is desirable.


Computer Skills:

·       Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Power Point, Word).

·       Knowledge in systems related to Project Management (Monday, One Note, Teams, etc.).


Competences:

  • Ability to communicate technically with technical instructors, bosses, workshop managers and management levels within the organization.
  • Ability to transmit technical information to the different support teams in Japan, USA, Europe, Thailand, and Mexico.
  • Ability to search for similar incidents through the query platform.
  • Proactivity to support to the team in resolving field incidents.
