Purpose of the position

The Purchasing Manager directs, and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in purchasing and distributing materials, equipment, and supplies in the organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
• + 5 years working in a similar position.
• Managerial skills of 2+ years.
• Automotive Industry Standards.
• Sarbanes Oxley Act.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to speak effectively and professionally before suppliers or employee groups within the organization.
• Organized and detail orientated.
• Proven track record of negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost savings.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
