Position: [Import& Export] Legal Compliance Assistant Manager

 

Mision

 

Lead and assure compliance of, Foreign Trade Audits, Annex 24 & 30 & Foreign Trade Consultancy teams to implement and maintain Trade Compliance procedures to comply with customs and international trade and the company's standards and guidelines.

 

Main role and responsibilities:

 


  • Advisory in day-to-day business activities such as IMMEX, import, export and resolving Trade Compliance issues for DENSO group.
  • Lead foreign trade audits from SAT, SE, CBP, Government, etc.
  • Foreign trade advisory in new business schemes and implementations.
  • Periodical analysis of compliance risk to identify possible discrepancies, opportunities areas to assure compliance of IE operation.
  • Monitor & review law regulation changes in foreign trade to prevent any affection in IE operation.
  • Lead and develop Foreign Trade training programs for DENSO group.
  • Current Imp/Exp business schemes control and evaluation.
  • Maintain, improve and assure compliance of KPI related to IE Compliance risk.
  • Plan, execute and monitor internal audits and projects related to foreign trade compliance.
  • Maintain effective & punctual communication with different departments to continue with the correct control of the procedures and results.
  • Assist in kaizen projects related to supply chain and certifications or maquila programs.
  • Budget import duties, including potential penalties and fines for the annual operating plan.
  • Ensure optimization of import duties payable
  • Design and apply procedures to comply the IMMEX program in Mexico.
  • Ensure access to preferential duty rates.
  • Represent Trade Compliance in meetings and provide consultancy support to business discussions.
  • Lead the MX Trade Compliance team including learning and development, retention, goal setting, performance reviews, succession planning and all related talent processes.

 

 

Requirements:

 


  • Foreign Trade, Law's, International Business, Customs or related degree.
  • +4 years' experience in position
  • Experience in foreign trade or customs compliance position
  • IMMEX & PROSEC Program, VAT Certification, OEA/C-TPAT Certification knowledge.
  • Knowledge: Ability and skills to work with high volumes of information's (big databases)
  • Conversation English.
  • Occasional travel might be required in specific cases, such as training or internal audits.
