Initial Setup and Discovery
- Review and Knowledge Transfer from the existing POC solution.
- Discovery and Initial Scheme Setup:
- Create Issue Type and Schemes.
- Configure Data Models for each Issue Type.
- Implement Intake Workflow.
- Map Hierarchy in Advanced Roadmaps.
- Implement Permission structures for Jira Software and Advanced Roadmaps.
- Create Jira Projects for specific objectives.
Migration Method Development and Testing
- Develop Jira Align to Jira Software Migration Method.
- Create updated Schemes Migration Method for Jira Software.
- Determine and select the "Live" data set for migration.
- Develop initial Migration Runbook.
Cleanup Strategy
- Identify and determine Cleanup items in Jira Align and Jira Software.
- Develop Cleanup backlog and runbook.
- Determine Backlog ownership.
Iterations with SMEs and Configuration Updates
- Grant access to relevant Jira Projects.
- Collaborate with SMEs to review and update configurations.
- Update Jira Software Schemes as needed (Issue Type Scheme, Screen Schemes, Workflow Schemes, Permissions, and Notifications).
- Create Capability Plan for teams, including Teams and Releases setup, and Dependency mapping.
- Determine and implement necessary cleanup in Jira Software.
Migration Strategy Finalization
- Conduct Unit tests for migrations.
- Revise Migration Runbook based on feedback and test results.
- Review and adjust Cleanup Runbook.
- Develop UAT Test Cases and Management.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and End-User Support
- Support in UAT process.
- Review and finalize migration strategy and runbook.
- Perform Configuration Bug-fixes as required.
- Refresh Migration Runbook and Production Cleanup items.
- Provide technical Q&A support for Atlassian Admins.
Production Migration and Enablement
- Re-create Configurations in Production Jira Software.
- Migrate Jira Align Data to Jira Software.
- Create, test, and clean up Capability Plan for teams.
- Assist Team Leads in user discipline strategies.
Roll-Out Support and Documentation
- Continue Data Migration as needed.
- Provide ongoing technical support.
- Facilitate Knowledge transfer with Atlassian Admins.
- Hand off Design Documentation.
Contingency and Additional Support
- Be available for any unforeseen tasks or issues related to Jira setup, migration, or configuration.
