WHAT TO EXPECT

Located in our Santa Fe office, as an Operational Financial Analyst has responsibility for assisting in reporting and analyzing consolidated results for Gates Corporation reporting to Sr Operations Finance Manager.


 

Key duties: 

Financial Analysis: 

  • Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and cost-benefit analysis. 
  • Prepare and distribute financial reports and dashboards to key stakeholders, providing insights into financial performance.  

Budgeting and Forecasting: 

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budget and monthly forecast, collaborating with department heads to gather necessary information. 
  • Analyze monthly performance, identify variances versus forecast and report results providing meaningful comments. 

Month-End Close Activities: 

  • Prepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations. 
  • Ensure financial results are accurate and in line with business performance. 

ERP system Management: 

  • Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of financial systems, ensuring data integrity and reliability. 
  • Troubleshoot financial/accounting system issues and collaborate with IT support for resolution. 

Process Improvement: 

  • Identify opportunities and drive process improvement within finance operations, streamlining workflows and enhancing efficiency. 
  • Propose and implement solutions to optimize financial processes and enhance control environment. 


ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 
  • 4 to 6 years of experience
  • Strong accounting knowledge with experience in all areas of general accounting 
  • Strong knowledge in Std Cost determination 
  • Fluent English Language 
  • Teamwork and good communication 
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good computer skills with the ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly 
  • Strong team player: proactively able to support other team members as needed and share knowledge to allow cross training of all key functions; builds collaborative relationships. 
  • Prior experience with ERP systems
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to simplify and communicate complex data 
  • Oracle GL and Costing Module 
  • Microsoft Office with focus on Excel.
