We're seeking Bilingual Telephone Interpreters fluent in Spanish and English for a great work from home job opportunity in Mexico. With us, it's all about finding the job that's just right for you.

Variety of work schedules (CST):

Monday to Sunday- You'll choose your schedule based on availability.

·        Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1.    The interpreter breaks the communication barrier in a wide range of industries including Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Financial, Utilities, Travel & Hospitality, General Business, Law Enforcement, Court and 911.

2.    Answer calls promptly and conduct interpretation in a friendly and professional manner.

3.    Render correct concepts and meanings according to the conventions of established interpretation protocol, avoiding omissions or additions.

4.    Speak clearly in both languages using proper pronunciation, enunciation and polite expressions.

5.    Maintain a professional demeanor throughout the call, always.

6.    Remain calm during calls if one of the primary speakers is incoherent or upset, especially in emergency situations.

7.    Maintain punctuality and availability during scheduled work hours.

8.    Follow client instructions, in compliance with protocol to ensure client expectations are met with the Limited English-speaking Person, avoiding interaction with the Limited English-speaking Person without client's permission.

9.    Understand protocol and terminology for various industries including, but not limited to, Medical, Insurance, Finance and Law Demonstrate commitment to cultural sensitivity and working in a diverse environment.

Qualifications

1.    Fluency in the required language Spanish and English and skilled in the associated cultural dynamics.

2.     Ability to provide cultural competency and assess regional and accent differences to find ways of communicating with the Limited English-speaking Person.

3.    Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy during interpretation.

4.    Able to work independently.

5.    Has the aptitude for close attention to detail regarding shift/schedule adherence.

Technical Requirements

·        Desktops / Laptops:

·        Windows 11 and Windows 10 (22H2).

·        MacOS 12 (Monterey), MacOS 13 (Ventura), and the upcoming MacOS 14 (Sonoma).

·        Any Chromebook updated to the most current version (15633.69.0).

·        Active and updated antivirus.

·        A modern and updated browser.

·        Mobile Phones / Tablets:

·        Device must be newer, in good working condition, and able to support the required Operating Systems:

·        iOS 16 or later for iPhone.

·        OS 13 or later for Android.

·        Prepaid phones (burner) are NOT permitted.

·        Device charger must have the ability to charge the device and use the headset at the same time.

·        Charger adapter may be needed

·        Internet connection should provide download speeds of no less than 5 Mbps and upload speeds of 1 Mbps.

·        Paper shredder to dispose of handwritten notes taken during calls.

·        NO Huawei Devices

·        Headsets are required to be wired with a boom-style microphone.

·        Wireless headsets or earbuds are strictly prohibited.

·        It is recommended that the microphone have a uni-directional voice pattern and noise-canceling technology

Physical Requirements

·        Must have sufficient manual dexterity to type or write.

·        May be exposed to moderate noise levels, computer, audio, telephone.
