OBJECTIVE: Develop, implement EHS programs to prevent and correct risk and healthy conditions on this matter. Prevent and protect environment measures for a properly accomplishment with City, State and Federal Mexican regulations, laws and alignments. As well as the international certifications and regulations.


JOB SUMMARY:

EHS Coordinator is responsible for studying, analyzing, implement, executing, and takes appropriate measures to follow up on Environmental, Health and Safety plan in accordance with national and international regulations on this matter. 


Carry out day to day accidents prevent within the company, resulting in the well-being of the company and ensure the safety of workers. Develop action plans and training according to the Federal Mexican Regulations (COA), ISO 14001, ISO 45001:2018.

 for complying with the legal rules governing in the automotive sector (PROFEFPA, SEMARNAT, IMSS, STPS). 


Report monthly metrics of safety, health and environment to the company and government institutions.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Obtain and update operating permits with the different government institutions.
  • Know and apply the policies and procedures of the Quality Systems (IATF), Health and Occupational Safety and Health Management System (ISO 45001:2018, ISO14001) and any other system that the company requires for operation.
  • Communicates to all employees the policies, internal procedures and government regulations.
  • Make sure to have day to day all the provisions, rules and regulations according to the Mexican Regulations for Safety and effect of preventing accidents, as well as preventive and corrective measures according to these legal norms. 
  • Manage, monitoring and maintain the chemical inventory, transportation of hazardous/Non-hazardous waste, safety footwear, and other safety equipment and safety programs for accomplishment with requirements of the regulations and laws on environmental matters. 
  • Constantly review providing correct medications, and curing materials, essential to provide timely and effective first aid. As well as providing the necessary medical care in case of accident contingency.
  • Develop contingency plans in case for a natural disaster. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety signs according to the State Institution of Civil Protection and Safety.
  • Develop evacuation plans and fire drills.
  • Evaluate and identify risk work in the work areas.
  • Responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of extinguishers.
  • Provide medical examinations to employees according with the Internal Safety Polices, Mexican Regulations for Safety, to be sure that employees do not suffer any disability, contagious or incurable disease work.
  • Evaluation of environmental indicators.
  • Develop safety training plans for all employees. 
  • Provide the correct Safety Equipment for all employees. 
  • Lead Safety Committee in establishing and creating a zero accidents and injury culture for all team members. 
  • Lunch and dinner provider control. 
  • Coordinate company events. 


REQUIREMENTS:

Strong Knowledge in: Mexican Regulations of Safety and Social Mexican Institute Law (IMSS), PROFEFPA, SEMARNAT, IMSS, STPS. IATF and ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001.

Education: A bachelor's degree in industrial relations, Safety Engineer or related fields.

Experience: At least three years in EHS - Automotive industry.

English Level: Advanced

Builds appropriate professional, friendly and accessible relationships with employees and line managers.

Desirable: Experience working in a multicultural environment.
