Descripción

Job Description
  • Lead and manage the implementation of SHE strategies, as well as National and International Legislation related to Safety, Occupational Health, and Environment according to the legislation of each Country, focusing always on the prevention of injuries, illnesses, and environmental damage.
  • Manage the necessary resources with the finance department when required, through an analysis of the priority needs of each plant that require reengineering, new machinery, or equipment to comply with the regulations and procedures of the organization, in order to prevent injuries.
  • Participate and/or support in EHS audits carried out by Government Institutions and/or clients in each of the plants, in order to support the area and avoid non-conformities.
  • Advise your work team extending it to whoever requires it on EHS issues in a clear and simple way for the fulfillment of the established work plan in each of the plants.
  • Carry out and/or coordinate EHS inspections and audits at each of the plants, considering global EHS standards, as well as the legal compliance of each Country, in order to ensure compliance with the business group and legal requirements.
  • Maintain records, data, and all information related to EHS in the database of each of the plants under your responsibility to meet legislative and company requirements, at the time it is required.
  • Participate in the implementation of projects with the areas involved, to supervise and provide Safety measures in the areas, equipment, and machinery, and maintain new or modified equipment/processes as necessary to ensure that EHS risks are properly managed.
  • Facilitate the development, implementation, and annual review of EHS policies/procedures and initiatives by implementing methodologies focused on personnel behavior, in order to create and maintain a safety culture in the organization.
  • Develop a work plan according to the organization's strategy in order to address critical risks, according to the organization's and each plant's needs, through the application of legally and institutionally established Standards and Procedures that cover SHS issues, in order to guarantee their compliance avoiding deviations that may cause fines or even closure of operations.
  • Supervise the incident investigation process and participate in it when required by its severity or seriousness, to ensure that incidents are reported in a timely manner and that investigations are conducted correctly identifying root causes, establishing a corrective-preventive action plan to prevent them from recurring, reviewing that actions are closed on time and verifying their effectiveness.
  • Develop, Plan and Participate in training programs focused on SHS issues, according to the needs of the areas, positions, and profiles of employees and contractors, always considering the legal requirements of each Country and Institutional to guarantee the competencies of personnel in the execution of their duties.
  • Coordinate, supervise, and support environmental compliance activities, such as emissions control, waste elimination, among others, as part of monitoring the environmental objectives established.

Requirements
  • University degree, preferably in Engineering.
  • Preferably with a Master's degree, Postgraduate studies, or Diplomas in Industrial Safety and/or Environment.
