Job Description:

Yupana is looking for a Human Resources Supervisor/Generalist. This position will be fully hands-on,

leading and managing all day-to-day HR operations. The HR Supervisor/Generalist is responsible for the

overall planning, organization, development, and implementation of all people-related activities in

accordance with the Yupana company policy.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 


• Recruiting management: Analyze the needs with the related department supervisor, prepare the

job description, review and decide the right sourcing channels, post new positions and manage

the interview process. Oversee and assist with talent acquisition needs 

• Manage the employee onboarding and exit processes 

• Maintain and ensure all documentation is timely prepared as required in employee files 

• Advice and assist employees and managers/executives with HR policies and procedures 

• Develop company and human resources policies, maintain and update policy manuals as well as

employee handbooks as needed 

• Manage employee relations issues (employee concerns, questions, leave of absences,

resignations, etc.) and help resolve employee concerns and complaints 

• Oversee training, career advancement or the employees and develop strategies for talent

development 

• Manage and administer compensation, benefits, and performance management systems, safety

and recreation programs 

• Provide guidance and advice to managers on grievance, attendance, disciplinary, and

performance issues 

• Strive to continuously improve processes and procedures

• Maintain compliance with all employment laws and regulations 

• Coordinate required compliance training 

• Provide reliable and accurate reporting on various KPIs 

• Assist in other duties as assigned 


 Qualifications and Essential Requirements: 


• BS degree in Administration, Accounting, Finance, International Relations, or Industrial Engineer in a related field or equivalent experience required 

• Minimum 5 years of professional HR experience, with a focus on organizational development,

HR administration, change management, benefits, employment law, and employee relations 

• At least 2 years of high tech, start-up experience desired 

• Specialized HR training preferred 

• Ability to cultivate strong relationships with diverse and distributed employee population, and

to operate in a matrix environment 

• Knowledge of HRIS and Payroll systems is required 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Must have demonstrated knowledge of employment law 

• Must have strong interpersonal skills, and be highly organized, action oriented and collaborative 

• Extremely detail oriented 

• Must be able to travel 

• International experience is a plus 

• Tech savvy, MS office skills 

Bilingual in both English and Spanish 

• Must be able to work based on the US/Canada time zone

This is not a remote position and will require the person to be in the office. The position will work with

different managers from different Yupana offices and will support those managers in their projects for

all the human resources needs.
