Position:Production Manager
FLSA Exemption:Exempt
Location: Querataro, Mexico
Status: Full-time
Reporting To: Plant Manager

Summary of Position:The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing total throughput of services/work orders with quality, timeliness, and safety in mind. Other duties include (but not limited to) workforce management, scheduling of staff, coaching, problem solving, continuous improvement, and promoting a best-in-class culture.
Essential Duties:

• Report directly to the plant manager
• Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
• Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines, conducts daily production meetings with team leaders to communicate expectations and targets
• Monitor production to resolve issues and improve production time
• Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (team leads, quality inspectors, technicians etc.)
• Determine number of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
• Approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.
• Coordinating shipments, deadlines, and quality of tools with logistics coordinator, upper management and customers
• Following up with shop office coordinators with all and any information on each tool
• Manage technicians, assuring timing on tools and communicating with customers
• Tracking vacation for all technicians, assuring the production floor is properly staffed
• Ensure output meets quality standards
• Enforce health and safety precautions
• Models company values, policies, and positive culture

Educational Requirements/Experience:

• College degree desirable. May consider experience in lieu of university degree.
• Minimum 3+ years production management experience in automotive, engraving and or mold/tooling shop experience desirable
