SWBC is seeking a talented individual to plan, create, and execute test plans. This role reviews test results to detect and accurately report problems found during testing. This individual contributes to defining testing scope and identifying regression opportunities. This role collaborates, communicates, and executes testing efforts in a dynamic environment, participating as a key member.


This position is 100% onsite in Monterrey, NL (Pabellón M).

Essential duties include the following:

  • Collaborates in building test plans based on requirements and update existing test cases.
  • Executes tests, report problems found during testing and accurately document results.
  • Creates and maintains test data in assigned environment using established QA tools and processes.
  • Participates and contributes to departmental and project meetings.
  • Contributes to departmental documentation of processes and procedures.
  • Proactively seek out ways to improve technical and developmental skills.
  • Follows established organizational processes.


Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field from an accredited college or four-year university OR equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience required. 
  • Experience with static testing, system testing, regression testing, functional testing, non-functional testing, ad-hoc testing, and performance testing required.
  • Experience testing web applications
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with Postman or Soap UI
  • Experience with Agile SDLC practices via Scrum and/or Kanban preferred.
  • Deep understanding of testing fundamentals, including requirements traceability, defect management, defect analysis, injection and detection analysis, defect remediation, etc.
  • Basic understanding of relational data models.

·        Basic understanding of SQL & PostgreSQL databases

  • Good understanding of AWS cloud is preferred or Azure
  • Familiar with test management and defect reporting tools, like Azure DevOps, JIRA, Fogbugz, etc. 
  • Able to remain up to date on the latest testing methods and technologies to produce high-quality software.
  • Exposure to external data storage systems such as files shares, databases, flat files, etc.
  • Demonstrate initiative and innovation.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
