ALTEN Mexico is looking for Automation and Controls Engineer

ADV 10+ years of experience in a same or similar project

General Activities:

• Provide support and troubleshooting for automation systems, addressing any technical issues, and ensuring optimal performance.

• Develop and maintain SCADA systems, identifying faults, and suggesting improvements in programmable control...

• Plan and execute PLC system programming, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal downtime.

• Interpret equipment specifications into detailed designs and BOMs.

• Specify automation hardware and software required for project implementations.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field

10+ years of experience

Soft skills:

 - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  - Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  - Project management skills, including planning, organizing, and executing tasks.

  - Attention to detail and accuracy in work.

Technical Skills:

•Proven ability to work successfully in a multicultural virtual environment across various functions (design engineering, purchasing, quality, marketing, finance, mfg operations and others).

•Proven ability to influence and convince through negotiation.

•Motivated self-starter, who able to work in parallel on multiple projects.

•Facilitator to drive problem solving and troubleshooting activities.

•Work with minimal supervision.

Basic Requirements:

10+ years' experience in automation industry or high-volume manufacturing environment.

Strong command of system design software (LabVIEW, TestStand, C++, etc).

Strong knowledge of communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet, CAN, Profibus).

Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).

•Travel 30% of the time required (domestic and international based on project assignment)
