Position Objective

Responsible for all General Ledger processes, providing local support to Plant Queretaro, including recording transactions, provisioning during the closing process, and preparation of reports, account reconciliations, external and internal audit (Sox) requirements, providing support, and other activities related to the area (Special Projects / Improvement process / SAP testing) aligned with shared services in Brazil. Strong technical skills with standard and real cost understanding, calculating and critiquing the content by Business Unit and product category to support the management team with reliable margin reports.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support on cost issues and physical inventory (local support).
• Update the Fixed Assets file (original invoices, warehouse entry, and purchase order) & control with CAPEX-approved.
• Accounting for values and provisions for services generated by the company (electricity, water, telephone, Freight outbound; etc.).
• Support on recognized invoices of suppliers; Support on open PO to expense-related Finance area.
• Support local team to a better understanding of Cost Center allocation by Factory Cost and OPEX / CAPEX;
• Support on cost issues and physical inventory (local support); FX rate revaluation process;
• Fixed Assets Booked and calculation of depreciation;
• Report to give support to closing month; Support of monthly reporting packages; CAPEX Tracking; Others request to give support Finance SSC.
• Raise, analyze, and support all information related to Financial Planning (Forecast and Budget) understanding the deviations and explaining to operational areas.
• Support tax department with accounting principles keeping tax accounts reconciled and building actions to tax credits recoverable.

 Languages/Schooling:

• English Level: Fluent 90% (able to maintain business conversations, essential for reporting to the USA and Brazil)
• Studies: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; Bachelor's Degree in Financial; Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Accounting or similar.
• Location of employment: Querétaro

Experience and Knowledge:

• 5 years in the Automotive Industry
• Strong cost analysis skills
• Experience in general accounting and accounting cycle processes.
• Deep knowledge of Mexican accounting and tax legislation.
• Experience in financial reporting preparation and presentation.
• Advanced skills in account reconciliations.
• Familiarity with internal and external audit requirements, especially Sox.
• Knowledge of SAP (FI, CO) and ability to work in Financial SSC, coordinating activities with international teams.

Computing Packages:

• SAP system (Essential) Microsoft Office (Word, Excel (Excel, pivot tables, Macros), PowerPoint, Outlook) at least Intermediate level
