?Position Title: Sourcing & Logistics Manager

Reports To: Operations Director Mexico

Department: Supply Chain

Job Summary: Utilize, employ, and improve the current sourcing methods, practices and procedures.

Analyze ongoing manufacturing opportunities and maturation of the supporting supply chain. Ensure alignment of global business and sourcing strategies while exploring existing and new technologies. Develop new relationships with suppliers in Mexico to improve sourcing, quality, lead times, costs and raw materials.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Job Requirements:

·        Take responsibility for overseeing all purchasing and procurement activities of the Mexico departments.

·        Build, maintain and develop relationships with suppliers and Byrne employees globally, fostering highly productive working partnerships both within and outside the company.

·        Analyze global supply chain for prospective solutions that are not currently established and optimize the supply chain for cost as well as speed, reliability, quality and inventory investment.

·        Provide coaching and development opportunities to the Supply Chain & Logistics Team.

·        Identify suppliers in line with market-driven opportunities to ensure optimum timing and margin.

·        Ensure alignment of the business, management expectations, company objectives and the sourcing strategies by fostering a communication and supplier integration plan.

·        Formalize agreements with suppliers in contracts and ensure their fulfillment.

·        Facilitate and manage the planning and procurement of all local and international materials related to new and existing product, making sure that the sufficient good quality materials are always available for production.

·        Establish relationships exclusively with suppliers who align with our values and who meet their legal obligations.

·        Ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing the import and export of products and raw materials.

·        Work with cross-functional teams to deliver sourcing needs on time & on budget.

·        Evaluate make vs buy, recommend selected sources.

·        Analyze costs and potential areas of waste with reduction goals in cost, lead time, inefficiency, etc.

·        Evaluate spend consolidation and purchasing trends, supporting competitive environments amongst suppliers.

·        Drive continued price negotiations and cost reductions/avoidances.

·        Lead by example and uphold the Byrne values as a guiding principle.

·        Travel up to 20% of the time.

·        All other duties as assigned.

Experience and General Skills Required:

·        6- 12 years of experience in purchasing of BOM related direct materials in discrete production environments.

·        Established and broad network of suppliers that supports the sourcing or manufacturing of goods.

·        Solid knowledge on how to use ERP systems to optimize the supply chain.

·        Strong knowledge on laws and regulations.

·        Strong business acumen and ability to influence peers & leadership on industry standards.

Education Requirements:

·        Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field required.

·        Master's Degree preferred.

·        APICS Certifications and Lean Trainings are a big plus.

Languages requirements.

·        English – Advanced, preferably bilingual.
