Safety & Sustainability Engineer

What you'll do:

Apply safety, health and environmental strategies that guarantee the physical integrity of MXAG workers, contractors facilities and the scope of EMS and team members. • Contractors Management (induction / management). • Participate in the development of internal health, safety and environmental programs and implement them to comply with the company's global, regional and local standards, as well as the legal requirements of the nation. • Direct and Coordinate the activities of the Safety and Hygiene Commission that ensure the validation of current and new production lines in terms of safety, ergonomics, lighting and personal protective equipment. • Ensure compliance with legal requirements before different government agencies (STPS, Civil Protection, PROFEPA, SEMARNAT, SSA, etc.) • Execute the actions and strategies that comply with the requirements of the environmental management system at the MXAG plant. • Coordinate the selection and training and maintain the emergency, evacuation and first aid brigades, ensuring that they are properly trained. • Design and execute the implementation and monitoring of the development and training plans of the health, safety and environmental team, guaranteeing compliance with organizational and departmental objectives. • Monitoring and execution of the objectives and goals established to improve the safety and health of personnel. • Collaborate with sustainability in the continuous improvement system • Manage and make use of the available financial resources of the Safety, Health and Environment. • Training from induction to personnel on safety, health, environmental and OEA/CTPAT • Participate in the implementation of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 until certification, coordinating the Environmental Management Team.
