We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations in Monterrey, Mexico. Reporting directly to the CFO of Americas, this key role will manage the local accounting team, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and strategic fiscal planning to support the company's growth objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical accounting expertise, strategic insight, and strong leadership to drive our financial operations forward.


Location: Santa Catarina (Monterrey suburb), New Leon, Mexico


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Mexico VAT, IMMEX, Corporate taxes, general accounting, cost accounting, and FP&A.
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a team.
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English (or Chinese), with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with SAP ERP systems and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment, with a commitment to excellence and high standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead, develop, and expand the local accounting team, promoting a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and alignment with global financial strategies.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with local and international accounting standards. Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and oversee the preparation of tax returns and other mandatory documents.
  • Taxation: Oversee the management of taxes, ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws and regulations. Optimize tax strategies and manage tax planning and implementation.
  • General and Cost Accounting: Manage all aspects of general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and cost accounting processes. Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to support business decisions and financial planning.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to support financial and operational goals. Ensure effective communication and collaboration across functions.
  • Language and Communication Skills: Utilize excellent communication skills in day-to-day work with local team and management in US and China. Must be proficient in Spanish and at least one second language of English or Chinese to effectively lead the team, collaborate with global counterparts, and engage with stakeholders.
