The Sales Engineer works with Customers, Customer Service Account managers and Technical Department to identify, design and quote detailed Upgrades, Retrofit or modifications quotations.
Responsibilities:
- Works on multiple types of documentation: mechanical layouts, electrical schematics, functional descriptions of operations, quotations and contracts
- Works with the E80 Technical Department to develop solutions that fit customer needs
- Attends occasional meetings onsite to collect and share all necessary information and supporting the Account Manager presenting the E80 proposal to the Customer.
- Analyze customer data and develop cost effective modifications and upgrades to the existing Systems
- Develop existing System's modifications to layouts using AutoCAD to illustrate the proposed solutions
- Analyze technical information and use various sources of data to identify the appropriate solutions to be proposed to the Customer.
- Complete documentation for the internal order management process
- Develop pricing to be used internally in evaluation of project profitability
- Develop and discuss pricing scenarios with the sales team
- Develop the bid package including material flows, functional descriptions, proposals, presentations and other material to effectively communicate the solution and investment to the client
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- BA degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in electrical-mechanical or software development.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Proficiency with the following software packages: AutoCad 2004 or newer, Microsoft office.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Strong analytical and communication skills
