Project Manager- Automation

At Antares Tech Services, we are looking for an Automation Engineering Project Manager to lead comprehensive industrial automation projects from design through implementation, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to technical specifications, while coordinating multidisciplinary teams and applying innovative solutions in industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the full lifecycle of automation projects (PLC, HMI, SCADA, robotics), from initial planning to final delivery.

• Develop detailed project plans with milestones, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.

• Monitor progress, address deviations, and provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders.

• Coordinate internal teams, suppliers, and contractors for project development and commissioning.

• Manage budgets, negotiate scope, and optimize costs without compromising quality.

• Maintain records and track project management skills using dedicated software tools.

• Design, program, and integrate automated systems, ensuring compliance with NEC, OSHA, ISO standards, and local regulations applicable to the client.

• Define testing protocols, architecture, and programming standards in accordance with IEC61131, as well as deliverable acceptance criteria.

• Perform technical risk assessments, troubleshoot automated systems, and validate third-party work.

• Translate business requirements into measurable technical solutions aligned with company goals.

• Provide technical training to internal teams and end-users post-implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Automation, or equivalent experience demonstrating required knowledge.

• Minimum of 5 years managing industrial automation projects, with proficiency in platforms such as Siemens (preferred).

Advanced English

• Technical Skills:

• Programming of PLCs/HMIs/SCADA systems and industrial robotics (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA).
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus).
• Proficiency in CAD tools and simulation software.
• Understanding of industrial safety concepts applied to automation systems: definition or verification of safety matrices, risk mitigation, component selection, etc.

Soft Skills:

• Leadership of multidisciplinary teams and effective communication with stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset to solve complex problems under pressure.
• Ability to communicate efficiently in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project management certification (PMP, SCRUM, Agile).

• Experience in pipe manufacturing for the Oil & Gas industry.

• Knowledge of functional safety standards (ISO 13849, SIL).
