Your department:
Support in the planning, coordination, and control of activities in the PVD and Brushing process, according to the guidelines of the Production and Process Manager and operations management. Technical support to the entire PVD, Brushing, and Polishing team, including the preparation and updating of a "Troubleshooting" of the
PVD process.
Support the production and process manager and operations management in all guidelines inherent to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Ensure good performance in quality management, 5S, environmental management, environmental, health and safety (EHS) management and energy management at controlled costs, and an image of operational, environmental, EHS and energy management excellence of the company to employees, suppliers, customers and society in general in accordance with the principles of Monozukuri.
About the role:
- Coordinate and control the evolution of PVD/Brushing results (production and quality) under the supervision of the Production Manager, ensuring the preparation and analysis of production control reports and maps (production, scrap, rework, etc.), identifying deviations between actual and predicted values and taking corrective measures to ensure compliance with the production budget.
- Development and ongoing updating of a “Troubleshooting” of the PVD process
- Coordinate and control the activities of allocated human resources (PVD and Brushing), according to the operational guidelines of the Production Manager and operations management, in order to take corrective measures and ensure compliance with the production plan.
- Facilitate the creation of improvement action groups and coordinate meetings for their monitoring, promoting improvement and correction activities in order to contribute to the strategic objectives of operational excellence and cost competitiveness.
- Annually assess (in collaboration with the NPD's team) the competencies of Product Development employees (using the BSC) and the assessment of rights, as a tool to support decisions regarding salary increases, new roles, and bonuses. Monitor employees' individual development plans (in collaboration with the Product Development Manager) at mutually agreed-upon intervals, ensuring follow-up and closure with HR.
- Monitor, detect, and report human resource needs to the Production Manager, participating in the recruitment and selection process, as well as defining training needs (technical and behavioral), designing training content, and delivering technical activities, in order to build a quality team capable of ensuring performance levels and meeting the defined strategic challenges.
- Support the production manager in validating the design of shifts and vacation schedules, as well as authorizing overtime to be worked by PVD and Brushing employees in order to contribute to an efficient allocation of human resources and the achievement of defined production objectives.
- Support in training new PVD and Brushing employees.
- Make material requisitions, as well as control the stock of materials, submitting them for superior approval, in accordance with internal standards and procedures, in order to provide the necessary resources for the department's activity, under guidelines previously defined by the production manager and operations management.
- Participate in the process of acquiring new equipment/maintaining existing equipment, detecting needs, proposing purchases, collaborating in contact with suppliers, receiving, analyzing and negotiating proposals, in order to promote efficiency in the supplier selection process and defend the plant's interests.
- Support in coordinating testing/validation.
- Perform ongoing quality control of the PVD and Brushing processes, constantly seeking new, advantageous technical solutions, and propose adjustments to the production manager to ensure the smooth operation of the process.
- Promote clear, objective, and transparent communication with the team, sharing information and internal communications in coordination with the production manager and Operations Director, disseminating company initiatives, and sharing department and company objectives to engage and motivate employees.
- Support the strategic management of people and teams, including providing input for filling out competency matrices, supporting contractual decisions, identifying recruitment and training needs, and supporting compensation policies in close partnership with the PVD manager, operations management, and Human Resources.

Skills and Knowledge:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering
2-3 years of industrial experience
Solid knowledge of the PVD process (preferred)
Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 standards
Strong computer skills from a user perspective
Knowledge of equipment installation, operation, and maintenance
Knowledge of energy policy and the importance of energy performance in accordance with energy management system requirements
Knowledge of Quality tools
Knowledge of Lean tools
Good English proficiency - spoken and written?
